Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho came out in ECW, but I didn’t notice him until 1998. I was sitting in my room and there was a bright new cruiserweight championship and he was on a major roll. He was defeating all the major talent in WCW that was in the cruiserweight division. First he defeated the man of 1,000 moves, that’s Dean Malenko. Then he went forward and defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. in a battle for that belt that has not been seen since. He reversed the top rope hurricanrana and put it into the lion tamer. He then followed that up by beating Juventud Guerrera out of his mask at Superbrawl VIII, and after that he went through the Ice Man, and Prince Iuekea! That’s right all those guys and he beat them all. He then went forward to defeat Rey Mysterio Jr. and after the smoke cleared from 10 months of winning, he wrestled this new comer who hog tied him and turned his winning streak into oblivion.

Then out of the world of WCW’s ashes Jericho came into the WWE and made a major name for himself uniting the then separate championship belts by defeating not only the Rock but Stone Cold.

Now where is he?

He’s chasing this dream of being a Rockstar, but no one is listening. I love Chris Jericho on the mic and think he can throwdown in the ring too, but where is Chris and when is he going to show that lionheart that he had in 1998? The streak is dead at this point, but it can blaze again.

Royal Rumble Results 2007

Here are the quick results from last nights major PPV. I couldn't get it because I was working. I wanted to see it badly, because I wanted to see the results from the Royal Rumble Match up.

I remember when Tough Enough 1 concluded, they allowed Maven (the winner) to dropkick the Undertaker out of the rumble, and it was crazy. The Undertaker was surprised, and took out his frustration all over Maven, all over the building!

So it was no surprise to see him win the rumble and get the nod to Wrestlemania. I hope he wins..and I hope he takes on Cena.

The Hardys def. MNM
ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Test (Countout)
World Heavyweight Champion Batista def. Mr. Kennedy
WWE Champion John Cena def. Umaga (Last Man Standing Match)
Undertaker wins the Royal Rumble Match

Diva's Are Ruining WWE

I do think that a few girls are cute in the WWE, but none of them cuter than Victoria. That's something of a different topic at this point though.

Right now I want to talk about the demise of what's going on in the wwe. I'm talking about the divas. These girls get paid to look good, then wrestle the bathroom break match. I for one, don't care about the divas as a wrestling standpoint and I don't know anyone that does. I would love to see the divas actually learn how to wrestle. The only great wrestler that has come out of the WWE is Victoria, and she really worked hard. She has a knee brace and shows wear and tear from her job. The other close diva is Trish Stratus, who ended up having he funnest run in WWE. The last one is Lita, but she was trained in Mexico with rumors flying all over the place.

I think that the Divas should just leave at this point. I don't want to talk about it further. Maybe if they got good wrestlers, I'd actually watch them in action. Until then, I'm using their entrances as a bathroom break cue.

TNA (WCW LITE)

I've noticed that a lot of marks out there want to talk about TNA as something that is worthwhile. I've noticed the evolution of TNA is great, and it has gone through a lot of changes.

I'm going to talk about 3 major things that I dislike:

1) The six sided ring is stupid. I didn't like it in Mexico, and I definitely don't like that here in the United States. It's working somewhat well for the company, however I still do not enjoy watching six sides. Although, I do like the x-division matches including the six sides of steel match. So on one side I like the appeal of a six sides of steel match, but I don't like the ring set up at all.

2) The shoot idea. I hear that the X-Division is going into a change, and that they will have shoot style matches. I hate this idea with a passion, and if they do that, i will never watch TNA again.

3) Rehashing old talent. Sure the WWE does this every now and then, but they don't do it on a regular basis. That's something that I can't really talk about in regards to greater detail. But in regards to TNA, I think that Kevin Nash, Konnan, Jeff Jarrett, Kurt Angle, and Sting are ruining the federation with their horrible matches. They are slow and don't lend well to newer, faster, better talent.

That's my three woes for TNA, but I have a lot more coming in the near future.

Lashley Bad For ECW

Lashley is an idiot, I'm sorry. The world champion has to either have charisma, or something more than just raw power. If they don't speak much on the site, they should at least play it like Goldberg did, as a jerk rather than one that wanted to speak. He should have a deeper voice for such a big body, and should react better when confronted with things that he doesn't like. Instead this guy is straight faced and horrible.

He beat Test last night.

Great.

ECW has gone downhill before, but decisions like this are plaguing the situation. I don't know one solitary person that likes this stuff. I wouldn't even scalp tickets to a ECW show at this point, there's no high demand. That frustrates me greatly.

The Royal Rumbler 2007 (1/28/07)

So with the Royal Rumble Approaching fast, I wanted to offer my pre-show notes. I won't be able to watch the Royal Rumble this year, but I will figure it out sooner or later.

Royal Rumble Match:
Thirty main, over-the-top-rope battle royal.

WWE RAW: Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, Kenny Dykstra, Edge, Ric Flair, Jeff Hardy, Chris Masters, Shawn Michaels, Johnny Nitro, Randy Orton, Viscera, The Great Khali, Super Crazy

WWE SmackDown!: Chris Benoit, Finlay, Chavo Guerrero, Matt Hardy, Kane, King Booker, The Miz, MVP, The Undertaker, Gregory Helms

ECW: Hardcore Holly, CM Punk, Sabu, The Sandman, Rob Van Dam, Kevin Thorn, Tommy Dreamer

- I personally love the Royal Rumble, when it's not aware to me who's going to win. Lets just say 10 guys WILL NOT WIN! 10 of them don't even have a chance. There is no way that THE MIZ is going to Wrestlemania for the World Wrestling Federation Title. There's just no way. MVP isn't either. They can either make or break fueds though. I'd like to see MVP eliminate Kennedy...but guess what? He's not there. So I'll get back to this later. No ECW will win.

WWE Championship:
John Cena (c) vs. Umaga in a Last Man Standing match

-The WWE has been known to create great guys then squash them when the chips are down. Will Umaga really walk out of the Rumble with the title? NO. That's an emphatic NO! There is no Chance in Hell that UMAGA is going to win this match. Sure he's tough, but if Cena loses, he'll have to chase the title, which no one wants to really see now a days. At least no major Adult in the audience wants to see that. Umaga in general would look weak if he loses this match. However, it would be nice if Great Khali made his presence felt in this match.

World Heavyweight Championship:
Batista (c) vs. Mr. Kennedy

-KENNEDY! KENNEDY! I believe that MVP has an interference all over this, setting up KENNEDY vs. MVP at No Way Out! Does that mean that MVP is going to win the Rumble? Or does this mean that MVP messes up the title match because Kennedy gets him eliminated? Or does MVP get eliminated because Kennedy has a vendetta from that Last Blood Match? Or will Batista win clean? I think clean as a whistle and Kennedy goes down a notch. Although Kennedy would be a much greater championship.

ECW Championship:
Bobby Lashley vs. Test
-Test sucks, Lashley can't talk on the mic. ECW sucks. I hate this matchup. At least the divas aren't involved yet.

The Hardys vs. MNM
MNM sucks, however The Hardys can carry a match like no other and they still get more cheers than any one other tag-team in the industry. Even if Team 3-D and the New Age Outlaws were to return to the WWE, they still wouldn't get as many cheers as the hardy's do these days. Their match at the ECW ppv left little to be desired. At this match I see a DQ for excessive force on one member of the Hardy's making a mask to be worn and a major set up for No Way Out with a final TLC match set for Wrestlemania!

This all sets up for an above average ppv, but I have to wait to see it because I don't have cable and I won't have PPV for a long time.

The Fired guys

So there was 20 total people fired during the clean up of WWE this last week. And here are all the names:

Sylvester Terkay, CW (Christopher W.) Anderson, Jazz, Rodney Mack, Tony Mamaluke, The Bashams (Danny and Doug), Al Snow (as a wrestler) , The Gymini (Shane Brothers), and Gangrel were all released on January 18th. Chris (Tatanka) Chavis, along with OVW wrestlers Seth Skyfire, Jack Bull, and Ryan Reeves were released on January 19. Deep South Wrestling Head trainer Bill DeMott, Mike Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Tony Salantri and Thomas Farra from Deep South Wrestling were fired on January 20.

That's right, all those guys got fired with no major mercy or anything along those things. This is dumb.

r.I.p Bam Bam Bigelow

MNM vs. Hardy Royal Rumble

I have two tickets to WWE NO WAY OUT PPV and the idiots over at WWE haven't set up one match or even a poster to help me with my end of the bargain...

So here is another example of stupid booking.

One Night Only the Hardy Boyz united to fight against MNM.

Then they fought them again at Armageddon inside a match that was meant to have the news guys shine: A Ladder Match for the gold!

So what now?

MNM vs. The Hardy's will continue to light up stages at Royal Rumble, and I promise this will lead to a TLC match either at wrestlemania, or next month at No Way Out!

Or will it?

This seems to be odd.

Bam Bam Gone and WWE Sucking It Up

15+ Major stars were fired from WWE and just like that there's no more under-card for ECW. This is a major triumph for all those people that wanted to take over ECW, because now there's nothing more than wwe wrestlers and McMahon's stupid decisions.

Mark this another failure. XFL and Now the enterance of ECW is foiled by shotty booking and horrible decision making.

I maybe a fan, but I know t least a little bit of what it takes to move crowds. That's not over production, and huge stadiums. If ECW wants to succeed, put them in the east coast and tour them in small venues that can only hold several hundreds, not thousands. Just several hundreds, and charge less for merch and see the place go nuts when special guests come to show up unannounced.

With BAM BAM gone, I think there's an era of high development. This guy was huge, in stature and in charisma, and how come there's no new big guys?

Bam Bam Bigelow Dies Today

In a sad news post, Bam Bam Bigelow died today. His body was found at his home.

I will be writing memories of Bam Bam as I can go through the days.

WWE Smackdown

Tonight Smackdown is going to be on televisions around the globe. All except mine. You see I don't have an antenna hooked up to my television which means I will not be watching anything related to wrestling unless it's on dvd or I download it myself.

So I read the spoilers!

I remember when I was a kid no one would know what happened at the ppv until the very next night on raw or nitro. WCW was notorious for not letting everyone see or know what happened the night before until the commentary would mention it and that wasn't even that well done.

I saw the trailer for the new Wrestling Society X show on mtv and it doesn't look half bad. It actually has some great production value, and there is some very good talent over there. I hope that they can out-do all the other wrestling promotions and start a national tour going.

Speaking of tours, I have 2 tickets to wwe no way out I need to get off my hands. Hopefully I can get those sold sooner than later.

Everyone Is Getting Fired

Sylvester, Rodney Mack, Jazz, and more have all been fired from WWE. Alongside these cuts, there has also been a lot of people that have been throwing up arms in ECW who are no longer going to be working.

They even fired Al Snow at this point.

This is hilarious to me in so many ways. What other company can afford to basically delete their personnel file and still exist in a multimillion dollar company? No other company can do this, and I'm glad that I'm not over there. Although I would love to work for WWE, it would be fantastic.

That's all for now.

WWE Survivor Series 2006 DVD Review

Team Legends (Ric Flair, Ron Simmons, Dusty Rhodes & Sgt. Slaughter) w/Arn Anderson vs. The Spirit Squad w/Mitch (Elimination Match)

Arn Anderson was on the outside of this match, and I immediately wished he could still wrestle. But thanks to major injuries, he’s just outside for a while, and after throwing a Spirit Squad Member into the steel ring post, he got thrown out! The Spirit Squad managed to edge out Ron Simmons ,Dusty Rhodes , and finally Sgt. Slaughter before having a 2 on 1 advantage over the legends. Ric Flair, the only legend still kicking, edged out everyone except for Kenny who is foreshadowed here for a fued with the legend.

The Figure Four put away Kenny’s ambitious comeback, only to get the rest of the Spirit Squad to come out and tackle a beaten flair with no help from the back.

Winners: The Legends (but post-match Beatdown didn’t help)

US Title: Chris Benoit vs. Chavo Guerrero w/Vickie Guerrero

I was one of the people that liked Chavo in the Cruiserweight division, and think he can go. I like Chris Benoit when he has a good guy to play off of. (IE; Kevin Sullivan) Otherwise I don’t like Chris Benoit trying to interact with Vickie Guerrero. That’s why this match had me sleeping.

Winner: Chris Benoit…I think

Women's Title: Lita vs. Mickie James

This was Lita’s final match. I fell asleep. Mickie James is nice enough looking, she just can’t wrestle very well.

Winner: Mickie James

Team DX (Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy & CM Punk) vs. Team RKO (Edge, Randy Orton, Gregory Helms, Johnny Nitro & Mike Knox) - Elimination Match

Team DX dominated this match. They never, ever, lost a member and even when things weren’t looking good they still came out on top. This match was so one sided that the heels all lost tremendously.

Winners: Team DX

First Blood Match - Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy

KENNEDY! The best new star to come out of the WWE has shown that not only is he a good wrestler, but that he can get one over the Dead Man. Thanks to some good interference from MVP to set up a potential face turn for Kennedy, the match was really good. Undertaker still has some good stuff in him.

Winner: Ken Kennedy!

Team Cena (John Cena, RVD, Sabu, Kane & Boogeyman) vs. Team Big Show (Big Show, Test, Umaga, Fit Finlay & MVP) - Elimination Match

The best part of this match was Cena vs. Umaga’s lead in to what is now a full blown fued between the two. Other than that, it was simply all faces all the time, although they did lose two members the winner in the end via a huge F5 on the Big Show was Team Cena.

Winners: Team Cena

World Title - King Booker vs. Batista

I fell asleep during this one too. I love Booker T, but I don’t like Batista so I missed the ending. I think Batista won….but no one cares.

Winner: Batista
