Bischoff Shoots Hard on Tna-Wrestling

They're a small independent company that's been getting a 1.0 rating for the last five years. ..They keep trying to pull rabbits out of their hat with talent. 'Oh we're gonna bring in Sting and that's gonna turn the business around! ' Well, they brought in Sting, who's obviously a great talent, and guess what? Nothing happened. And then 'We're gonna bring in Christian Cage. It's a big surprise. He's hot in WWE and we got him and it's gonna turn things around.' Guess what? Nothing happened. Then 'We're gonna bring in Kurt Angle and he's the real deal. Things are gonna turn around!' Guess what? Nothing happened. Nothing's ever gonna happen until they get it.

Wow, the former executive over at WCW said some harsh things in regards to TNA's recent promotional acquisitions and he's 100% correct on a lot of things. TNA wrestling isn't that great. I've said that on countless occasions. While I appreciate the talent and Somoa Joe matches at times, I see a lot of disconnect in their shows.

I was watching their Impact show and they advertised a huge main event and when the chips were down and the time came, the match was 4 minutes long! This for a huge major hype throughout the show?

I know WWE isn't what it used to be, but come one, this is just sad for competition. There is nothing left to bet on. Although if you want to you can go online and bet or play bingo online while you are there at landmarkbingo.

When WCW was competing, at least they offered 3 hours with some good matches sandwiched in between bad segments.

Vince McMahon Hollywood Star

I am now moving on.

Vince McMahon was given a Hollywood Star recently and that's not too bad. He was recognized for all his efforts among other television stars and executives that have received a star. This is a great move on behalf of Hollywood and now gives reason for all fans to check it out.

Vinnie Mac is sure basking in the glory on that one. That's a great thing.

Boogeyman & Piper The Worms Are Here

Last night on ECW we were treated to a great segment featuring Rowdy Roddy Piper! The great mic worker was out and about until spoiled by one Matt Stryker. He of course was immediately discharged by an interuption by the Boogeyman!

Matt Stryker might want to consider staying in school!

This should build another Boogeyman vs. Stryker match up for later purposes. Overall, this was a great little piece, and a good break up from the action.

I know, I'm getting soft. But in light of current events, maybe it's about time.

Chris Benoit (R.I.P)

I maybe the last Chris Benoit fan after today.

Vince McMahon issued a statement that he will not mention his name again, and that the WWE is sorry for last night's tribute.

I will continue to talk about the good times.

Why?

Because this society praises celebrities to no end, and in this same internet we can buy Serial Killer t-shirts, guns, and pornography, and if someone is going to tell me that they are no longer a Benoit fan, then I guess wrestling is not that important to them, and they shouldn't even watch.

Benoit was a good wrestler. I will not throw away my dvd's, or figures, I will remember him for who he was to ME personally. A great wrestler.

His personal life is something that I am not responsible for, nor am I to condone it. He entertained me for many years, and that's what I'll remember most. I can not burn my memories, I can not forget my childhood, he's a part of it.

I'm sorry for those that are hurt by the tragedy, but I am not a fairweather fan.

If rottencotton.com can sell serial killer shirts, then I can still like Chris Benoit.

Serial Killers killed, raped, murdered, and without remorse took their own lives in the past, and now they are immortalized with toys, t-shirts, and even movies.

So to tell me that Chris Benoit is worse than them is to tell me a stupid thing.

Chris Benoit is gone, his family is gone, and well...his memory lives forever in dvd's, posters, toys, t-shirts, and all sorts of other things that overshadow the tragic end.

Because when we all are honest with ourselves...He was NOT our friend, HE was a wrestler who got paid to entertain us, and if he is remembered solely as that, then the tragic stings a little less.

I'm sorry...I lost one of my favorite wrestlers, but I did not lose a loved one or a family member, so don't blame me for being callous...blame me for being real.

Chris Benoit Found Dead (no Joke)

In what is the saddest news I've heard in a long time. Chris Benoit was found dead in his home, alongside his son and wife.

This is not a joke.

This is not a ploy.

This is not a swerve, or storyline.

He was found dead alongside his wife & son and reports are stating that it was a double murder suicide.

Thanks for drafting him and making him lose to mvp wwe...jerks...

This is so sad, I can't post today....I'm seriously sad about this.

John Cena is Superman

John Cena is now officially Superman. That's right, the idiot has beaten the top dogs in the night of champions. This is so dumb.

We are not in the 80's and we do not need another Hulk Hogan type champion with 5 moves and a ton of charisma.

It needs to be stated that the ways of the WWE are going downhill. This is just bad.

Boogeyman Almost Fired

Boogeyman was said to be on the "endangered species" list as recently as two weeks ago. His character was being written off of SmackDown, and that us why he was squashed by Mark Henry on a recent edition of SmackDown.

The Boogeyman was almost fired? 2 weeks more of the Boogeyman and he would have been fired. That's a shame!

That's right, sources are claiming that Boogeyman was nearly fired.

I know that Boogeyman has a limited arsenal, but so do a lot of other WWE superstars in history, and even today there are a few wrestlers that still have the prowess of knowing all the wrestling moves in the world!

When I saw Boogeyman at No way Out 2007, there was such an uproar and heat given to Finlay. There was also a lot of kids wearing Boogeyman masks, so I'm certain that there are fans out there that like the character enough to buy some merch.

Sure he's not a main eventer, but a good mid card guy at the very least.

The Big Show Says No!

With the recent string of injuries in the WWE, it's not a surprise that Trish Stratus, and Big Show were recently contacted in regards to maybe returning to help out the WWE with the roster.

Both of them have declined and are looking to pursue anything but wrestling.

Big Show especially, who worked for many years with major injuries, and still gave it all he had.

My personal opinion is that they made Big Show look weak by letting so many pick him up and slam him. They should've played him like Andre, and had no one pin him or disturb him unless they wanted to get beat.

But alas...I'm just a blogger that loves WWE.

Konnan & Ron "The Truth" Quit TNA

Konnan

Konnan & Ron "The Truth" Killings have both walked up and quit TNA. Just like that they left.

What's next for the two?

Down south. Way south!

Both of those lads are going to be wrestling in AAA. Konnan is still not doing so well, but in Mexico he is still one of the #1 box office draws. He is also a booker for the promotion, and Ron "The Truth" Killings was rehabbing an injury as well.

I can't really speak for the decision, other than GOOD RIDDANCE! Konnan hasn't moved well in a long time, and Ron Killings was never over in my view. Remember K-Quick? Qwik, Whatever you want to call him! He's not that good people!

Konnan at least has the power of a good standing relationship with the Lucha Libre guys, so He'll find it easy to pick up where he left off.

Konnan used to be amazing, I'm not sure what happened. Too many drugs? A lot of wrestling in a short amount of time? I don't know, Mick Foley seems to be doing alright.

Let's just say TNA Wrestling is NOT going to miss Konnan and Killings.

Reports State McMahon Really Dead

There are still major outlets that are saying that Vince McMahon is dead.

That's hilarious! The WWE is basically getting free coverage from major sources because of this stunt they pulled with killing off Vinnie Mac.

Since when is Wrestling real to the new media? It's just funny to see people thinking that wrestling in any way shape or form is real.

This isn't the 80's folks.

Raw was ok.

Vince Nearly Fires Paul London on Raw

Paul London received a tongue lashing backstage after RAW went off the air for laughing during the Vince McMahon segment where he walked to his death.

I thought it was funny too! I would have had a hard time being serious, because the fans deserve something live, and instead of going live, Vinnie Mac recorded the segment earlier on the in the day. It's funny that no one told him that London was smiling before they aired that nice piece of stupid footage.

Paul London is a high flyer, and hasn't been getting a whole lot of respect. They banned a few moves, and limited the high flyers. He had been getting worked for a while in the independents. But in the WWE even though he does flips, and takes major bumps, Vinnie Mac & crew ground his arsenal.

Michael Hayes Hates Chris Benoit

In recent reports linking the recent changes in the roster to ECW and Chris Benoit, there is one odd note that I keep reading. That Michael Hayes is the head writer on Smackdown and doesn't see that Benoit is a top talent!

What?

You're telling me that MVP is a higher talent then Chris Benoit?

Did everyone at WWE have a memory lapse? Didn't The Rock vs. Chris Benoit headline a sold out ppv? Do they forget that Benoit is a legacy of the Hart family dungeon?

I can't believe that Michael Hayes, the former free bird has such a high job to where he can ruin Benoit's new tenure.

Hopefully he tears up ECW into a watchable product, otherwise I'm going to be turning off the tv and watch TNA? That's harsh.

I just can't believe some of these allegations.

TNA Finally Making Profit

On the eve of their 5th anniversary TNA has stated that they have finally started making a profit. It took 5 years of losing money in order to get to this place where they are making money. How much is what I wonder?

I hear Sting is still getting 500,00 a year! That's not cheap. If he's making that, I wonder how much Christian is making considering he's the champion right now. I don't know, but they must have money to burn.

I would like to see them go to Los angeles, Seattle, and other municipal wrestling cities and see if they are really doing well.

The video about is for Tna's upcoming ppv which looks promising, if they didn't have the six sided ring.

Lashley Can't Talk...Neither Can Benoit?

One of the biggest things criticized in Bobby Lashley’s development as a main event superstar in WWE is his lacking of skill on the microphone.

Apparently, sources are saying that Lashley doesn't have good mic skills and that he maybe held back in the future.

I also heard that Chris Benoit is going to be held back too. Why doesn't WWE allow him the freedom to talk like this:

What? Good Mic skills? Yep. That's right, Benoit can talk, the WWE just hasn't put him in a situation to use his skills. Why?

WWE is holding back people because they aren't comedic at all. They aren't Austin, Rock, or Goldust...it's hilarious to me to see complaints.

Let Lashley wrestle, and tell him to get really mad and just start yelling or something!

Benoit is amazing in ring and on the mic, if you can get him out of the jaded times of crap wrestling.

Welcome To The Big Time Matt Striker Edition

Matt_striker

Matt Striker not only did the job last night, but he did it so well that I had to comment on the ECW match up with none other than Boogeyman. I was appalled to see Striker having to sell the worms more than any other super star.

Boogeyman is getting faster, and better, but I feel that he needs some more psychology. He may not need to utilize that though, since he's in ECW, he can rely on cheap moves and weapons to get over. I think it's a new era in ECW with the additions of Chris Benoit and Boogey. I like Boogey, despite what others might say about him.

OH well.

ECW was actually kind of cool. 3 Matches in one hour, that's packed for WWE.

McMahon Not Dead & The Worst Pick In The Draft

WWE Vince MCmahon

If you believe that Vinnie Mac is really dead, than you're dead wrong. There is no wy in hell that they would treat a legitimate death as a storyline. Or would they?

Raw went into a tailspin yesterday with the draft and the worst pick of the draft is for Smackdowan. Talk about the worst idea ever...Torrie Wilson moves to Smackdown? Why? Who cares about the divas! That was a major throw away in regards to a draft at all.

I'm completely dumbfounded by that idea.

I like Boogeyman moving to ECW that way he can use weapons to offset his lack of abilities.

There was announced that there will be another draft this wednesday, but tonight's ECW is important, it will highlight who is going to be the NEW ECW Champion!

Sid Vicious Wants Back IN WWE

Psycho Sid

Psycho Sid, Sid Vicious, or whatever incarnation you want to call him, wants back into the wwe. Sid is reportedly 46 years old ad in great shape right now, and with so many injuries plaguing the WWE right now, I don't see why not.

I do not need to remind everyone of that horrible injury he suffered in WCW, but I believe that Sid does have one major run left in him. Think about it: Sid vs. Edge!

Sid has one of the best chokeslams in the industry, that's for sure.

I Hate The Draft!

WWE Raw

Tomorrow night on WWE raw, the draft will commence and the first match that will kick off the festivities is JOHN CENA vs. EDGE a match that has been done so many times that I'm bored with the prospects.

This is good news for WWE fans though, and I believe that we are going to have a good time seeing things shaken up for the sake of the fans?

The WWE roster is lopsided. ECW is failing, Raw is outdoing Smackdown sometimes, and Smackdown is doing better sometimes...I want to see more crossover, but oh well.

We'll see what happens.

Scot Steiner Has a Broken Neck

Who cares. That's the first thing that came to mind right when I heard the news. The guy that has taken more steroids than anyone else in the business, and totally ruined all credibility with me and other fans is sitting in a hospital bed wondering why.

Or maybe he's not. Maybe h's enjoying his little "break" from the ring.

He'll be crawling back to TNA as if people wanted to see the guy wrestle. I wanted to see him wrestle when he was a fast moving, fast paced wrestler with a knockout style that matched no one else. I wanted to see him thrive as a singles wrestler until he got on the juice.

So now that he's out, maybe TNA can get some new talent in there.

Kennedy Would've Been Champ

"All indications were that Mr. Kennedy was supposed to win the World Title from the Undertaker until he was injured. After his injury, the decision to place the title on Edge was the replacement plan."

I called it! But then again, so did a lot of other people out there. Wouldn't it have been great too? Kennedy with the world title would have an endless supply of middle weight guys to defend against. The Undertaker losing to Kennedy would have been great.

Now we have Edge vs. Batista times 3! That's a lot of bad news for me. I want to see more Edge vs. anyone but Matt Hardy & Batista.

No one listens to this guy though.

Bring On The Mexican, Super Crazy To Return

Super Crazy has not been seen or heard from lately, and that's because he's recovering from a Knee Injury. However, do you remember what feuds he was in before leaving? Yep. He was battling it out with Chris Masters, and a few matches with Carlito, and some other jobbers. Wait he is the Jobber!

Why does WWE toy with our emotions? Super Crazy doesn't need to say a whole lot backstage, and he can take a similar role to Dean Malenko in WCW. In WCW Dean said very few things. He just went out there and performed, wrestled, and wrestled and showed 2000+ wrestling moves to the astonishment of all comers. When he held the belt, he would defend it on a weekly and monthly basis!

So why can Super Crazy get involved with the Cruiserweight division, or the tag division?

Oh right...

The WWE doesn't like the Lucha Libre influenced wrestling style that Super Crazy & guys like Mistico bring to the table.

Super Crazy is set to return to Raw soon, and probably won't last long. I think he's on par with Val Venis & Steven Richards at this point...just hopeless jobbers to whatever monster heel they are going to push this week.

I hope they prove me wrong though.

Sandman Tries To Save His Own Job + 24/7 Notes

Sandman looks to be trying too hard. That's what I can gather from this awesome photo of him about to deliver a leg drop onto Lashley.

My problems with the ECW main event are huge! For one thing why can Lashley beat 3 ECW originals! I've asked this question before, and I want to know why is it that these big guys are trashing the ECW guys? It's stupid.

I do not believe that the WWE cares for ECW nor does it it see it as a brand they want to keep stocked with any sort of originals. They are completely showing that the new breed is better and badder.

At least Lashley is. I hope they trade the guy...bring in Benoit..that guy can get extreme. Remember the Kevin Sullivan vs. Benoit match from The Great American Bash 97? Oh yeah...you remember!

----

I just got WWE 24/7 and WOW, this is amazing! It has pure wrestling on, it has ECW cards, it has legend matches, it has dvd releases, and it also has new stuff! I'm very impressed, very very impressed. It only costs me 8 dollars more a month! This is the best thing I've seen in a long time, and I for one am completely glad that the WWE is allowing their old programming to air.

I can't believe what I've missed for so long.

Carlito Beatsdown Torrie? This is Bad

What's worse then Cena beating Khali two in a row? The fact that earlier in the card Carlito is being pushed as a woman beater! If you saw it on raw, you too probably cringed. Torrie is not a professional wrestler with massive back muscles. Carlito is on a downward spiral to begin with, and the heat generated with this is just lame.

I hope Carlito just gets traded, this is just a horrible way to try to get heat and a stupid move by the WWE.

The main event last night was unbelievable. Cena is looking like the new Hulk Hogan. I want him to lose...someone beat him already!

Monday, June 4, 2007

Shane McMahon Gets Extreme

The most extreme thing about last night's ECW ppv was Shane McMahon. That's not saying a whole lot since he's been doing the same major moves for a long time. However, no matter how he does it, he manages to exhibit a sense of wrestling ability that doesn't come to every wrestler out there.

The rest of the night featured a lot of half worked matches, and random interjections from wrestlers that are NOT on the ECW roster!

Even the ladder match failed to be extreme, and this is just an example of how bad ECW has gotten.

One major thing that needs improvement is the variety of the show. ECW was known for showcasing the cruiserweights, and not all about blood and guts. It seems that the WWE has took their existing product and called it ECW and now that RVD was completely punked on PPV this is the beginning of the unraveling of the ECW brand...you just wait and see.

Edge Not A Transitional Champion

Edge is NOT going to be another transitional champion this time around. The cards maybe in his favor as reports from WWE are citing that he will be a long term reigning champion.

I sure hope so, I like to see a younger, faster champion than the big guys always winning the belt. Furthermore expect Kennedy to turn face when wrestling a heel Edge. Edge may very well be on the Stone Cold Route, meaning that he might face Edge as a heel and turn midway through the match like Austin at Wrestlemania 13.

Hope to see a good lengthy reign for Edge.

John Cena vs. Khali Match Length Exposed

This Sunday where mostly WWE stars are going to wrestle a show made specifically for ECW, the match between John Cena and the Great Khali is expected to go the distance, and be longer than any of their previous match ups.

Apparently, because of the rules being that there are no rules, Cena is going to be able to hit Khali with trash cans, chairs, suit cases, and other peripherals around the arena.

Expect to see a full blown Brawl.

I expect it to be much like the Royal Rumble 99' match where Austin dragged McMahon through the crowd, or when Undertaker beat down Maven during the Rumble a few years back.

This match has potential, but expect another Cena win.
