TNA Impact 3/29/10 Review

I’m dreading reviewing this night of wrestling, how can they top WWE, HBK’s Farewell Speech and Wrestlemania? Simply put, they couldn’t do it.

Hogan talks to Jarrett and gives him a chance at Aj to get to the #1 contender spot.

Black Machismo showed up and he was talking like Macho and doing his thing, apparently he’s still in TNA.

Bubba The Love Sponge came out with The Band or whatever, and he is now the official interviewer? It’s funny, it sucks, I hate it. They called out Erik Young and offered him a spot in the Band, and didn’t go for it. Erik fought but got out numbered fast, before being saved by RVD and Jeff Hardy. Either way, this sucked…I’m alreadyhating on TNA, it’s only been a few minutes. This start smells like WCW.

Shannon Moore & Kaz defeated Doug Williams & Brian Kendrick

This match was ok at best, it was fast paced and didn’t offer a whole lot. Kendrick got beat up then post match was painted with lipstick by Shannon Moore. This match was lame…sorry.

The Pope cuts a great promo, and it wasn’t half bad. Chelsea came down and distracted him for a while, but before Desmond Wolfe could attack, Pope fought him off. The Pope is solid, a shining light in TNA. Too bad he won’t get the title any time soon.

Orlando Jordan came down from the rafters wrapped in Cross the Line tape, and was just…well….gay.

Tara defeated Daffney

These two women fought in a first Blood Match, and it was interesting to me. Daffney’s hot, I like her. Tara, well…she’s had better matches.

Aj Styles defeated Jeff Jarrett

This match was ok, it lasted a lot longer than I thought, but it wasn’t necessarily that great. Aj cut his hand open, oddly enough, delivering a low blow against Jarrett, who had a guitar in his arms. Bischoff interrupted the match and brought in a guitar. Aj Styles got beat, but the ref was out and out came the interference. I didn’t like it. It was kind of boring, and Jarrett is back down.

Black Machismo defeated Beer Money

Somehow someway Jay Lethal won this match up. It was a terrible match, but I guess Lethal getting a win is not half bad.

Desmond Wolfe defeated The Pope

This match was actually going quite good, and while it did have a few moments it ended up turning into another match ending with a foreign object. I didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t the most thrilling of matches.

Kurt Angle cut a promo on Anderson.

Erik Young, Jeff Hardy, and Rob Van Dam defeated The Band in a Steel Cage Match

This was a very crowded steel cage match up, and it was interesting at times, but not really. Erik Young was targeted early on and was outside of the match for a good portion of the match up. However, Erik Young climbed to the cage and dropped a huge elbow, which wasn’t half bad. He basically killed Pac, I liked it overall!

Abyss announced that his first tag team partner for Lockdown will be,

Anderson and Angle will wrestle in a ladder match next week.

This night’s impact was ok at best.
