WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/26/10 Review

The show started with the most boring man in professional wrestling, Kane. He cut a promo on Edge, and what not...I didn't care, you shouldn't care, the crowd wasn't really into it either. Edge came out and what not, and I didn't care...something about Kane getting on his knees...it was stupid. Kane vs Edge sucks, the beginning of this show was just terrible.

Kofi Kingston defeated Jack Swagger

Swagger and Kofi went into a back and forth battle for the King of the Ring qualification. This match was quite good, it had a lot of action, I thought there were some serious spots, and after Swagger hit his shoulder on the ring post, this thing was over. I didn't really care for the finish, but it was actually kind of good. Kofi moves onto the King of the Ring tournament.

Alberto Del Rio defeated The Big Show via countout

Del Rio couldn't get the big man down, and couldn't win the matchup by force, so he had his ring announcer get involved and that forced Big Show to lose via countout. That's right, a countout win for Del Rio and he moves on to. Not a great match, but it will have to do.

Drew McIntyre defeated MVP

This match was ok, MVP had a hurt arm or something and Drew wins. Drew sucks, but somehow, someway, this match was semi-interesting. I don't think Drew McIntyre will win this match, but we'll see. MVP continues to be hit or miss, and well, he's a far cry from his "MVP" gimmick that was good a few years back.

Kelly Kelly defeated Michelle McCool

This was a fluke roll up win, and nothing too special to mention. The match was ok enough, but Laycool got beat up by Beth Phoenix after the match. Phoenix had a knee brace, and she still managed to hit her finisher on Michelled McCool.

Dashing Cody Rhodes defeated Rey Mysterio

This match was ok enough, it wasn't exactly a thrilling match up. It had a few good moments, and Mysterio works really well with a much lighter Cody Rhodes, then he would with larger men. Mysterio hit his spots nicely, and showed no sign of injury at all. Del Rio helped Cody Rhodes at one point, and Mysterio dove into Del Rio on the outside. That woke up an otherwise tired crowd, and the match went on to be a wortwhile main event for Smackdown. A ref bump caused this match to really kick into high gear, in which Del Rio took advantage and helped Dashing Cody Rhodes defeat the higher flyer with Cross Rhodes.

Judging purely by wrestling and the matches they had on this show, it was a great one. I actually liked a lot of the wrestling, and the finish of the main event was really done well. Dashing Cody Rhodes, Del Rio, Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre will be in the King of the Ring tournament, creating quite an appealing 3 hour show. I'm excited to see how it will all turn out, and of course, The Miz's first night on Raw as the WWE champion should be good too. Wrestling is actually good for a change, too bad TNA can't take note, and too bad KANE sucks. I liked the show...now back to sleep I go.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Edge ran over a fake Paul Bearer with a car. That's how the show ended...worst feud ever.
