WWE Friday Night Smackdown 11/5/10 Review

The show started with Edge coming to the ring immediately, as he would be facing Alberto Del Rio in a one on one match up first.

Edge vs Alberto Del Rio No Contest

This match was a good overall back and forth match with lots of random spots to consider, but it was cut short. Just when Edge looked like he was going to win this one, Nexus ran down and beat up both competitors, throwing them out of the ring, and ending the match in a no contest.

Nexus got on the mic, but the Smackdown locker room ran down and beat everyone up. However, one thing to note, there was no sign of Wade Barrett.

Dolph Ziggler defeated JTG

JTG is still employed? JTG loses this match, and didn't look like he coudl win at any point during the contest. Dolph won with the sleeper hold and that was that.

Post match, one of the NXT rookies came down and got slapped by Vickie Guerrero.

Mvp defeated Drew McIntyre & Dashing Cody Rhodes in a triple threat match

The three men put on a good overall match up. There was a lot of distinct action from all three men, and it was interesting to see how they would all interact. MVP eventually looked like the favorite, and would manage to get the pinfall! MVP will face Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental title sooner than later. I didn't hate this match, and out of the three, still think that Dashing Cody Rhodes has the most promise.

Vickie Guerrero defeated Kaitlyn

The worst match in Smackdown history...seriously...worst match EVER!

Tyler Reks defeated Chris Masters

A glorified squash match that I was too tired to pay attention to.

Team Smackdown defeated Nexus

This match only proved to push Edge higher as he got the pinfall and was able to one up Otunga and Kane at the same time with two spears. Overall, not a bad match, but it fell flat with me, that's for sure.

Another Smackdown has come and gone, and it wasn't all that bad. It's not very good either, but then again, no one is watching. The ratings are bad, and the stories just aren't as compelling as the A show is right now. Nexus losing doesn't make sense to me, and no signs of Wade or John Cena is interestnig, and I'm sure we'll find out later.

The week is over for me, I'm going to sleep, I feel like crap. 14 months and still no job....and no hope.
