WWE Survivor Series 2010 Review

I've been looking forward to this night for quite sometime, just to see how the WWE would finish off the feud with Cena and Nexus.

The show opened up with the U.S. Title match, and the most interesting thing I saw at first was Maryse. Wow, Maryse is hot, and she keeps glowing, just like she was in her playboy photos...wow.

Daniel Bryan defeated Ted Dibiase Jr.

This match was a great back and forth opener. Daniel Bryan led Ted Dibiase to his best match yet, and it never looked bad. Every spot, every move had impact and Daniel Bryan was looking hurt. There were so many picture perfect moves, including a super backplex, a reversal of the Million Dollar Dream from the corner, countless reversals, and just so much more. I really enjoyed the match, and it was a shining opener for sure.

Post match, The Miz ran down with the Money in the Bank briefcase and knocked out Daniel Bryan. At first I thought he was going to cash in. The Miz cut a promo against the Nexus and Lebron James.

John Morrison defeated Sheamus

Sheamus and John Morrison put on an ok match, but it wasn't exactly a four star classic. The match had some good back and forth points, and after the "Bro" kick missed (yes i know it's not spelled that way, but I hate sheamus), Morrison caught Sheamus with a nice kick to the face off the springboard in the corner, and won this match up. Like I said, this wasn't a great match, but Morrison getting the win was welcomed nicely.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Kaval

Not exactly a great match up, but it had some nice back and forth action from both men. Kaval really pushed the limits of Dolph's flexibility from time to time, and it wasn't a strict burial at all. The match was ok, but not necessarily a good thing for Kaval, as he keeps losing, and his streak of losses continues. Dolph had what appeared to be a broken nose, as this match was physical. I liked it well enough, it kind of took the crowd out of it though.

Team Rey Mysterio defeated Team Del Rio

This match up was fun to watch. I love these classic Survivor Series matches and I remember fondly the original nights of Survivor Series in the late 80's and early 90's as being classics. So this match had all the great moments you'd expect with great interaction from all members. I loved it. Mysterio and Big Show walked away victorious, making this match up a good way to bring the crowd back from the Ziggler and Kaval match up.

Natalya defeated Laycool

This match was ok, not a great one. Laycool put up a good overall fight, not a classic by any stretch.

Post match Laycool beat up Natalya, but out came Beth Phoenix! Yep. That was the end of that.

Edge & Kane were counted out

This match ended with Edge and Kane's shoulders on the mat, so they both lose? I don't know...it was a crappy ending and the match wasn't even that good. Kane retains, but what a terrible match and ending.

Nexus defeated Santino & Kozlov

This had your standard comedic elements and overall minutia of wrestling. There wasn't much to it, and it was nice to see Kozlov and Santino nearly get the win, but it when it was all said and done, Nexus wins and retains their title.

Randy Orton defeated Wade Barrett w/ John Cena as ref

One of the most boring matches took place here. All the build up and little to no real controversy for the most part. The crowd was even dead for this match up, and it just was a terrible build. This was NOT an exciting match up, it was dead for a good amount of it, and despite the back and forth nature of the match, it was just lackluster somehow. The action spilled to the outside, and then quickly went back into the ring, and out of nowhere the RKO after Cena accidentally bumped into Wade Barrett.

NO CENA TURN! Wade loses. This match sucks. What a terrible terrbile match, what a terrible turn of events. I think Cena is fired...oh well. Man, what a terrible terrible way to finish up months and months of build. This was stupid. Seriously wwe? seriously?

If you saw it, you hated it too.
