WWE Clash of Champions 2017 Results and Review

WWE Clash of Champions is the last pay per view event in 2017 and it was live from Boston. I was planning on going, but got sick, and decided against it. That makes another year that I didn’t go to see WWE live in person, and that is just something that happens, what can I say? Life gets in the way as you get older. The show was smooth, and I only drank one beer through this one, although I did have a lot of pizza, which I shouldn’t have, but it’s the holidays.

WWE Clash of Champions 2017 Results and Review

Mojo Rawley defeated Zack Ryder

This was a brawl where Mojo just beat down Zack Ryder until he pinned him. It was a one sided affair for the most part, and Mojo was hitting absolutely harder than Ryder was. A good starter, and a nice opening for Mojo to get through.

Dolph ZIggler defeated Baron Corbin, and Bobby Roode for the United States Championship

Here you go, a nice round of expertise, with a lot of action, and great back and forth. Roode had a great deal of fighting, Corbin was able to reverse things here and there, but it was Ziggler that was able to pull off a big victory here. Ziggler was on fire throughout, but Roode and Corbin put on a few great moments too. I was surprised how good Corbin looked here, and of course I didn’t call Ziggler winning.

The Usos defeated The New Day, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, and Rusev with Aiden English in a Fatal 4-Way

This was an all out brawl with a lot of action, and some impressive elements. Chad Gable did an incredible job, and reminded me of Chris Benoit. He was pulling through some amazing suplexes on everyone! I was impressed, I just can’t say enough about him. The Usos are on fire, and I wish they would fight The Young Bucks, they are that good, and they need more competition.

Charlotte Flair defeated Natalya in a Lumberjack Match

This wasn’t great, it was awkward, and it was boring. Flair did her usual spots, and Natalya had a few moments, but it was far from a great showing for the two. I didn’t like the match, and the lumberjacks didn’t add much to it. Flair wins, and afterwards Natalya starts crying.

Bludgeon Brothers defeated Breezango

This was a fast match, and it was pretty much a burial. There’s not much to say about this.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton

This was an awkward, wrestlecrap showcase of tom foolery. Why? Because Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon were the in ring referees! After some screw jobs by Shane, and after a few moments where Bryan was pushed over at one point, a fast count won the match for Owens and Zayn, and that’s that. It was nice while it lasted, but this was just odd to watch. It was like a carnie type of show.

Aj Styles defeated Jinder Mahal in the WWF Championship

Here we go, the title match to end all title matches. This featured the modern day maharaja, and well, Jinder Mahal put on a show beating down Aj Styles for a great push through the match. It wasn’t that bad, it wasn’t terrible, and well it ended with Aj Styles winning big, and that’s it.

The show was ended nicely, and I went to bed. It’s not a memorable thing, I just didn’t care. I just didn’t care, so that’s the end of that. Where was Tye Dillinger? So much for being the perfect 10.
