WWE Monday Night Raw December 25, 2017 Results and Review Chicago Still Loves Punk

The ZO Train - SRC WWE dot com
The biggest thing that I recall from the start of Raw was not the people involved, but the crowd. The crowd was chanting CM Punk for the whole thing. They were going crazy with the Punk chants, and that’s something that is absolutely fun to see and hear, I’m sure. I was loving that.

Elias and Cena’s opening segment was good, and Elias is gold on the mic, if you ask me. That was a great way to open things up, and get Cena roped in, only for him to sucker punch him and start the night of wrestling.

John Cena defeated Elias

Elias took control over all of this match. Cena was behind throughout, and Elias looked like a million bucks, that is until he met John Cena’s five moves of doom. As much as you can hate on Cena, he is so crisp in the ring sometimes, and he did well to let Elias have a lot of his offense in this match, but it proves ineffective if he never loses, and well, he lost this one thanks to Cena and the crowd ate it up. I liked it, a good match, for the most part.

Hideo Itami defeated The Brian Kendrick

Itami looks like a shell of his former self. He won this match, and it was awful. I didn’t like this at all. It was boring. The Brian Kendrick’s wrestling is a bit slower, more methodical now, and it’s just not as good as when he was flying around. I get it. I get it, but Itami here just doesn’t look great. I also don’t like to hear him yelling “RESPECT ME”, which is stupid. I hate that. Stop it. I’m not going to respect someone that’s yelling at me to respect them. It’s stupid.

Absolution defeated Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James

If you didn’t think that the RAW brand was the number one show for the WWE, then watch this. Absolution won again, but the Riot Squad didn’t win on Smackdown. Oh well. Anyways, this match wasn’t half bad, it had a lot of back and forth, with a beat down that would end up getting Paige over more than anything. It’s funny, Paige has 40 new videos leaked, and it seems like no one knows. Not a bad match, not a crazy good one, but it had enough gusto to work.

Kane defeated Heath Slater

He didn’t win, he buried Slater. Heath Slater and Rhyno were great. They were getting a lot of crowd response, and then what? Dead. They are gone, and buried. I didn’t like this match. There was a sign in the crowd telling Kane to go back to being mayor or something. This was abysmal.

Finn Balor defeated Curt Hawkins

Well, here we go again, another burial. Curt Hawkins buried. There’s not much else for this. It’s a burial.

Matt Hardy attacked Bray Wyatt

That’s it. Hardy showed up and beat up Bray Wyatt, that was it. Meh.

Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, and Akira Tozawa defeated Enzo Amore, Drew Gulak, and Ariya Daivari in a Miracle on 34 TH Street Fight Match

This was like watching old ECW, and it wasn’t that bad. I loved the guys dressing up and it was fun to see. However, the crowd wasn’t that into it. The ZO train loses here, and it’s a fun match to see. Lots of action, back and forth, and great hardcore rules. I had fun, I don’t know what else to say. Everyone got their stuff in by the way, good stuff. If you’re going to watch the show and want to skip a lot, don’t skip this one, it’s fun.

Samoa Joe defeated Roman Reigns by DQ

This was a good back and forth match. Roman Reigns wasn’t bad, but Joe would lose here. Lots of action here, Joe hit his moves, Reigns hit all of his moves, and eventually he ended up going too far and causing the disqualification. That was the end of the match, for the most part. Don’t skip this one either, it was a good match.

Braun Strowman defeated The Miztourage in a secret santa match

Strowman buried the Miztourage. Meh.

Asuka is In The Rumble

Asuka came out and knocked out Alexa Bliss after saying she’s in the Rumble, in broken English.

Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan defeated Cesaro and Sheamus for the WWE Tag Team Champions

This wasn’t a terrible match, mind you. It had some great moments and lots of back and forth action. The teams are great, but in the end, it was Jason Jordan and Rollins that would get the big win. Perhaps this win was because Sheamus has a legit injury. I don’t know. Either way, the show ended with Jordan winning and Rollins holding the titles high. A good way to end the night, and something to watch out for, a classic moment for Raw.

There you go, Raw goes well tonight, and it’s not grand, but it went well for the most part. Enzo almost kissed Nia Jax, The Miztourage were singing and giving away gifts, and it was a funny night. Not bad. Not great.
